What you believe shapes how you live. If your doctrine is flawed, your behavior will inevitably follow. You cannot separate your beliefs from your actions; the two are inseparable. When you stray from sound doctrine, it’s only a matter of time before your life reflects that drift. Guard your doctrine carefully, because it is the foundation of a life that honors God. What you hold to be true must align with God’s Word, or your behavior will stray off course.
Take seriously the importance of right doctrine. If you neglect or distort the truth, your conduct will reflect that error. Align your beliefs with Scripture, and your life will follow suit. Living rightly begins with believing rightly, so ensure that you are firmly rooted in God’s word.
"Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers."
