The modern church suffers from a dangerous lack of understanding about the nature of God and the reality of humanity. Many professing Christians have lost sight of God's holiness, power, and justice, and in turn, they fail to see their own sinfulness and need for His grace. Without a proper view of who God is—His majesty, righteousness, and sovereignty—worship becomes shallow, and obedience becomes optional. When you don’t know who God truly is, it leads to spiritual confusion and a weak, compromised faith.
It’s critical to return to the foundations of who God is and who you are before Him. God is holy, perfect, and deserving of all worship and reverence. You are a sinner in desperate need of His grace, utterly dependent on His mercy. Until you grasp this, your faith will lack depth, and your walk with Christ will remain unsteady. Know God, know yourself, and you will rediscover the power, purpose, and awe that should define the Christian life.
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight."
— Proverbs 9:10
