Brief Biographical Summary
William Tyndale, born in 1494, dedicated his life to translating the Bible so that everyone, regardless of education or status, could know God’s Word. His groundbreaking work became the foundation for future English translations, but his passion cost him his life; he was martyred in 1536.
Fun fact: Tyndale’s New Testament translation influenced much of the language used in the King James Version.
