Are You Willing to Suffer for Christ?
True faith is not dependent on circumstances. It does not waver in the face of hardship, persecution, or suffering. Faith that endures is faith that trusts God’s promises even in the darkest moments. When trials come, they reveal whether your faith is built on comfort or on Christ Himself.
Do trials make you doubt God, or do they drive you closer to Him? If you are his child, than you are gold refined by fire. Trust in God and let Him burn away the chaff. Stand firm and know that no suffering is wasted when your trust is in Christ.
"Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted."
— 2 Timothy 3:12
Brief Biographical Summary
Richard Wurmbrand (1909–2001) was a Romanian pastor who endured years of torture in Communist prisons for his faith. He later founded The Voice of the Martyrs, an organization dedicated to supporting persecuted Christians worldwide.
Fun fact: While imprisoned, Wurmbrand composed sermons and memorized them in order to share them after his release. Some of these messages were later published in his books.
