The forgiveness you receive as a sinner is not lightly given; it is inscribed in the very blood of Christ. Let the reader hear and understand. Every sin you commit is so wretched that Christ had to make a blood sacrifice for it.
This great gift is often taken for granted by us, but let it not be so today. Rejoice in the Lord this day, for this day your sin has been covered by the pouring out of Christ’s blood on your behalf. He died for you.
