You don’t have the liberty to shape Scripture according to your personal preferences or desires. Your responsibility is to submit to what the Bible clearly teaches, even when it challenges your opinions, lifestyle, or culture. To follow Christ faithfully, you must embrace the entirety of His Word, not just the parts that are comfortable or agreeable. This means teaching and believing all of Scripture, even when it cuts against the grain of what you wish it said.
When you reshape the Bible to suit your wants, you dishonor God’s authority and mislead others. Be diligent to know the Word, teach it accurately, and stand firm on its teachings, no matter how unpopular or difficult they may be. Your role is not to change the Bible, but to let it change you.
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness."
— 2 Timothy 3:16
