The Christian life is Scandalous
Following Christ comes with a cost. If you are truly committed to walking in His ways, you will face opposition. The world rejects God/the truth, so stand firm in your faith. The virtues of Christ often clash with the “values” of the culture, and you, a genuine Christian, will likely be seen as a scandal who disrupts the status quo by living out the gospel with conviction.
Don’t be surprised or disheartened by this opposition—it is a mark of true discipleship. Jesus Himself was rejected and opposed, and He warned that His followers would face the same. Stand firm in the faith, knowing that it is far better to be aligned with Christ and endure the world’s disapproval than to conform to its ways. The path of a true Christian may be hard, but it leads to eternal life and glory.
