The Only Thing You Bring to the Table of Salvation

Salvation is entirely a work of God’s grace. There is nothing you can offer, no good deed or effort that can earn your way to heaven. The only thing you bring to the table is your sin—the very reason you need saving. This truth strips away any sense of pride or self-reliance, reminding you that your salvation is not something you can achieve, but something Christ has accomplished for you. It is His sacrifice alone that redeems you, not anything you have done.

This humbling reality should lead you to deep gratitude and dependence on Christ. Your only role in salvation is the brokenness that requires His mercy. Let go of any notion that you can contribute to your own redemption and rest completely in the finished work of Jesus. He has done everything necessary to bring you from death to life.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."
— Ephesians 2:8-9
